Insert an equation

• Choose in the main menu to plot a new equation

• You'll see the default equation x is loaded

• Choose the Insert command (on most devices this is the fire button or pressing the joystick)

• You'll see the different functions that can be inserted
• Scroll up (or downwards) untill sin(x) is shown

• Choose the Insert command

• The function will be inserted

• Choose Plot, if you want to view the Graph

Plot a sample equation

• Go to the main menu and select the Samples item

• Choose the sample you like to plot (e.g. Climbing sine)

• You'll see the equations of the sample

• Open the Options menu (On most devices this can be done by the left selection key)

• Choose Plot, if you want to view the Graph

• You'll see the sample right now

• You can zoom in (5) out (0), move (arrows), evaluate the function (left selection key -> "Evaluate function") or show the function table (left selection key -> "Show Table")

Save an equation

• Go to the Graph Options of the equations you want to save.

• Open the Options menu (On most devices this can be done by the left selection key)

• Choose the "Save as Sample" option

• You can enter the name of the new sample (e.g. my equations) and choose OK

• You'll see a message when your sample is succesfully saved

• When you open the Samples-menu, you'll see your own added sample

• Next time you start GraphViewer, your sample will still be there (even sorted alphabetically) in the sample-menu

Calculate the derivate in a point of the function

• Start the Calculator from the main menu

• Enter the equation inside D( ) (E.g. D(x^2) to calculate the derivate in any point of x^2)

• Select the appropriate X Value, where you want to calculate the derivate (E.g. 3)

• When you hit the Calculate button, the derivate will be calculated in the chosen point.

Calculate a definite integral

• Start the Calculator from the main menu

• Insert the integral you want to calculate in the form I(x1, x2, f): this will calculate the definite integral between x1 and x2 of function f (e.g. I(2,4,x) will calculate the area under the graph f(x)=x for x between 2 and 4.

Use a white background

• Open the Settings from the main menu

• Unmark the Black Background option

• Choose OK from the Options menu (or hit the OK button)
